A yellow warning was issued by the Weather Service at noon on Monday.
In particular, rains and possibly isolated storms are expected to affect the region. In the west and north in particular, total rainfall can exceed 55 millimetres over a period of 24 hours. The warning is in effect from 13:00 noon to 13:00 noon on Tuesday.

Barometric low and cold mass gases begin to affect the area.
In the afternoon the weather will gradually become mostly cloudy and rains and possible isolated storms are expected, mainly in the west, north and mountains. On the highest peaks of Troodos, it is not out of the question that snow will fall. Winds will blow mainly southwest moderate to strong, 4 to 5 boforts. The sea will be a little turbulent until it's troubled.
Tonight the weather will be mostly cloudy and rain is expected, possibly isolated thunderstorms and snow in the higher mountains. Winds will blow mainly southwesterly as westerly patients up to moderate, 3 to 4 boforts, and locally up to strong, 5 beauforts. The sea will be turbulent but in the east a little agitated until troubled. The temperature will drop to 8 degrees inland, around 11 degrees on the coast and 3 degrees in the higher mountains, where frost will form locally.
Tomorrow the weather will continue to be mostly cloudy and rain is expected, possibly isolated thunderstorms and snow in the higher mountains. In the afternoon and evening it is expected to snow in the lower mountains. Winds will blow southwest as northwest initially weak to moderate, 3 to 4 beauforts, and locally up to strong, 5 beauforts. Later locally they are expected to blow strong to very strong, 5 to 6 beauforts. The sea will generally be up to turbulent. The temperature will rise around 13 degrees inland and off the coast and around 5 degrees in the higher mountains.
On Wednesday the weather will be partly cloudy with isolated rain and snow in the higher mountains. In the lower mountains there is expected to be slight snowfall. The phenomena by the afternoon will fade.
On Thursday and Friday the weather will be mostly atrium but from time to time there will be locally increased clouds.
The temperature will drop on Wednesday to be significantly below average climate values. A gradual rise in temperature is expected on Thursday and Friday.
