RAPID TEST FOR STUDENTS IS RECOMMENDED BUT NOT MANDATORY

 Filenews 3 February 2021

A new circular to schools has been sent by the Ministry of Education on the conduct of a rapid test on teachers and pupils.

In particular, as stated in the circular, rapid testing for teachers and school staff, as well as for all workers, who return to work with a physical presence is mandatory.

With regard to the students of the 3rd Lyceum and Technical Schools, it is recommended to carry out tests for health safety reasons. It is noted that failure to produce a negative rapid test result is not a reason to refuse entry to school for pupils.

Please note that student population checks will be carried out at the sampling points announced by the Ministry of Health and not with mobile units in schools as originally planned.
