Up to 13 February, a total of 44,429 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 in the Vaccination Centres operating in all the Provinces of Cyprus. Of these, 29,592 people received the first dose of the vaccine, while 14,837 people completed their vaccination, having received both doses. It is recalled that, currently, people aged 76 and over have access to the Vaccination Portal.
At the same time, the vaccination process of other public and private health professionals is under way. From tomorrow, vaccination of Pharmacists begins, while vaccination of other health professionals will continue throughout February. In addition, vaccination of specific groups of patients, such as people with thalassaemia, kidney problems, etc, continues next week following the recommendation of the ad hoc committee on the hierarchy of vulnerable groups. Vaccination of susceptible groups, in line with expected vaccine receipts, is expected to intensify from the beginning of March.
At the same time, from tomorrow, February 15th, in addition to the other Vaccination Centers operating in Cyprus, vaccinations begin at the Vaccination Center created at the Sports Center "Spyros Kyprianou", in Limassol, where, in the first phase, three vaccination workshops will operate.
