The company 'Constantinou Bros', intends to proceed with the demolition of the existing hotel 'Asimina Suites Hotel' and the construction of three new apartment buildings, nine floors each (now proposed project). The development area based on the study submitted to the environmental authority is located on the coastal front of the municipality of Geroskipou, in the province of Paphos on the site where the existing hotel 'Asimina Suites Hotel' is already located.
The proposed project will be a mixed tourism development in conjunction with the adjacent 'Pioneer hotel' which is owned by the same company.
The project concerns the demolition of the existing three-storey 'Asimina Suites Hotel' and the construction of three new apartment buildings. The buildings will have 9 floors each and a height of 34 meters from the existing ground level. The total capacity of the project will be 57 apartments, 19 in each building. From the ground floor to the 8th floor there will be 2 apartments of three bedrooms per floor, while on the ninth floor of each building there will be a 5 bedroom apartment. Underground parking will be built with 86 spaces, of which 5 spaces will be for people with mobility problems. The hotel's existing swimming pool will be maintained and there will be a green area of 2870 sq.m.
The construction of the proposed project amounts to 11265 sq.m. while the coverage of the proposed project 3264m2, according to the requirements and consultations with the Department of Planning and Housing.
The proposed project will consist of 3 similar nine-storey buildings (Asimina A, B & C), each with a height of 34 metres. The total capacity of the proposed project will be 57 apartments / 177 beds, while it will have green spaces of 2870 sq.m.
In the underground space that will be built there will be 86 parking spaces (of which 5 for people with mobility difficulties), stairwell and elevator for access to the upper floors. From the ground floor to the eighth floor there will be 2 apartments of 3 bedrooms per floor, while on the top floor of each building there will be a 5 bedroom apartment.
The existing five-star hotel for demolition, has a capacity of 220 beds with a total of 110 suites and is built on 5 levels. The total area of the hotel is 12625.35 sq.m. and has a height of 21 meters.
