A phenomenon recorded during the spring "curfew" period in Paphos, is repeated today, with the prohibition of evening traffic. The reason for the action of the burglars, which is currently decreasing significantly and gradually as time goes by, based on the daily data before it by the Paphos Police Directorate.
The restriction on overnight traffic and the cessation of commercial activities in the area of stability also contributed to the reduction of the action of burglars and thieves, force officials told "F". With the population concentrated in their homes early on, they stressed, it is understandable that cases of burglaries and thefts are not easy for perpetrators of such actions, they stressed.
At the same time, the intensification of police controls throughout the province in order to implement the new curfew decree also acts to a very large extent as a deterrent to illegals. That is why, they pointed out, the same factors, which almost in their entirety the arrests and complaints of this period have to do with the non-application of curfew orders and epidemiological directives and not with burglaries and thefts as was usually the case in times of 'normality'.
