They have dried up the coffers of the occupying regime and admit that they are unable to pay salaries. This is because of the policies pursued by Ankara and the occupying regime. But Ersin Tatar loads them into the "inhuman isolation" of Turkish Cypriots – without mentioning that this is due to Turkey's policy – and promises with the new year direct flights and trade.
Yesterday a protest event was held in the occupied territories in front of the 'prime minister'. The event was held by workers at the "agricultural products organisation" who complained about the non-payment of their salary, as well as the 13th, with "Minister of Agriculture" Heim Tsavousoglou saying sorry because they may not be paid before New Year's Day.
According to Yeni Duzen's website, Heim Tsavousoglou went near the protesters and told them that the "agricultural organization" can no longer be maintained and "I apologize for bringing you here, but we may not be able to pay the wages until New Year's Day".
It is not the "organisation"'s fault, he continued, for its financial situation, saying that all the right to a default that it had from banks has been used and all 65 million TL have been used. However, there is no stock in the warehouses and they cannot buy seeds.
Meanwhile, T/C reports indicate that turkey's TL 890 million to the pseudo-state was not enough and so the "Ministry of Finance" has launched an offer for internal lending of another TL 100 million. This is the sixth time the "ministry" has made internal borrowing.
There is also a reduction in the labour force in the occupied territories, with "Prime Minister" Ersan Saner stating that while in January 2020, 117,208 workers were making money in the scheme's coffers, that number fell to 88,000 in November of that year.
It said the lowest number of workers was recorded in April 2020. Mr Saner said there were 14,000 registered businesses and that as of October the number of registered workers in "social security" was around 92,000.
Of the 890 million TL they got from Turkey, Mr Saner said, 350 million TL will go to the "budget" and 100 million to support measures for the pandemic.
It's about other cheeses.
Ersin Tatar, among others, is a tyrant and promises direct trade and flights in the new year. In a message for Christmas and New Year to Christians living in the occupied territories, Ersin Tatar spoke of the inhuman isolation imposed on Turkish Cypriots and also affects people who live and invest in the "country" and love it. The Turkish Cypriot leader (a source of GM) described as shameful the fact that restrictions on trade and direct flights continue despite the promises made to Turkish Cypriots and wished that the new year would be an opportunity to pave the way for keeping the promises made to Turkish Cypriots and to conduct direct trade and direct flights between Turkish Cypriots and other countries of the world.
Reiterating the claim that despite the positive attitude of the Turkish Cypriots, the Greek Cypriot side with its maximalist demands rejected the sharing of administration and natural resources during the failed conclusion of the Annan Plan in 2004 and the international conference in Cran Montana in 2017, Mr Tatar said that they are now working with Turkey's support for a two-state cooperation solution model living side by side on the basis of sovereign equality.
Thanking foreigners living in the occupied territories for the messages they sent him after he was brought to the leadership of the Turkish Cypriots in October 2020, Ersin Tatar welcomed the contribution and assistance they offer to the Turkish Cypriot community economically and culturally.
Recruitment action
A lawsuit against T/C leader Ersin Tatar for party recruitment will be filed today in the "supreme court" of the trade union platform.
As the websites broadcast, these are the recruitments that Mr Tatar made as "prime minister" but after he had been elected as T/C leader, i.e. after 18 October. The lawsuit will be filed in the morning by members of the platform, which is made up of dozens of trade unions and professional organizations and associations. The issue had been published in headlines by the yeni duzen newspaper and the response at the time from the "presidential" was that Mr Tatar had not yet officially taken office.
