The health ministry announced 23 mobile units for rapid Covid-19 tests to operate on Friday nationwide.
In Limassol, units will be carrying out rapid tests at Gregoris Afxentiou square, at the municipal parking lot in Germasoyia (former Skaros tavern), at the Apostolos Andrea and Timiou Prodromou church in Mesa Yitonia and at the municipal council of Avdimou from 8.30am to 4.30pm. A mobile unit will also operate at Ypsonas town hall from 8.30am to 5pm.
In Larnaca, tests will be carried out at Lidl parking space in Aradippou, at Economides parking space (next to Public) and at the Kornos’ municipal clinic from 8.30am to 4.30pm.
The mobile units that will be open from 8.30am until 5pm in Larnaca will be at Ayios Georgiou Kontou parking space, at the park next to Stelios supermarket in Livadia and at the parking of the commercial and industrial area in Aradippou (former Free Zone).
Nine mobile units will also operate in Nicosia at the junction of Stavrou and Iosif Hadjiiosif avenue (in front of Coffee Island), at the state fair in Engomi (East entrance), at the Apostolos Andreas church in Aglandjia and at the Analiontas square from 8.30am to 5pm.
Starting from 9am to 5pm, rapid tests will be carried out at the Ayia Sophia church in Strovolos, at the Panayia Evangelistria church in Pallouriotissa and at the community council of Deftera. Another two rapid units will operate at Ayiou Demetriou church in Acropolis from 9am to 4.30pm and at the Homemate parking space in Anthoupoulis at 9.30am to 4.30pm.
One mobile unit will operate in Paphos at the citizen’s service centre from 8.30am to 4.30pm.
In Famagusta, rapid tests will be carried out at Paralimni municipal parking and at the Dherinia town hall from 8.30am to 4.30pm.
Rapid tests are offered for free to the citizens, prioritising those employed in customer service, deliveries and front-line workers, the ministry said.
Results will be available within 30 minutes after the test, or via test within 24 hours.
