Extreme weather conditions have sparked havoc in the road network of rural areas, especially in Morphou region, police said on Monday.
That’s why certain roads were open only to cars with four-wheel drive as from early in the morning after a strong hailstorm.
These are Kakopetria-Pinewood, Orkonda-Kato Pyrgos, Pedoulas-Kykkos-Milikouri, Pedoulas-Kampos and Kampos-Stavros tis Psokas.
Drivers are also advised to go very slow, have their fog lights on and keep a safe distance from cars ahead of them.
