Health Minister Konstantinos Ioannou said that the first vaccines against COVID-19 are expected in Cyprus at the beginning of January, adding that next week he will give a news conference explaining the plan of vaccinations.
Ioannou added that Cyprus participates in all EU processes to get the vaccine and assured that the state took everything necessary to offer the vaccine to all Cypriot citizens who want to have it for free.
In reply to a question about the effectiveness of vaccines he said that as published both vaccines are 95 percent effective.
