While carrying out more than 3,800 checks in 24 hours from Wednesday until Thursday police booked 58 individuals and five businesses for breaching coronavirus decrees.
In total 3,827 inspections were conducted, most of them, 1,117, in Limassol.
Five individuals were booked in Nicosia, 11 in Limassol, 14 in Paphos, 11 in Larnaca, 16 in the Famagusta district and one in the Morphou area.
Marine police also carried out checks but did not book any individuals or establishments.
