- In 238 cases the rapid antigen test had a positive result, which should be verified by the molecular method (PCR).
Here are today's results in detail:
Hospitalized:
A total of 154 patients with COVID-19 disease are hospitalized in THE O.C.P. hospitals, 57 of whom are in serious condition.
Of the 57 patients critical, 25 are intubated, one is hospitalized in the Off-Respirator Intensive Care Unit and 31 in the Increased Care Unit.
Molecular Examination: Of the 1,970 laboratory diagnoses carried out today by the Molecular Method (PCR), 266 cases of COVID-19 disease were identified and verified, resulting as follows:

- 7 cases from 358 samples taken as part of the referral program by Personal Physicians and special teams control through Public Health Clinics.
- 134 cases from 138 samples taken for verification using the molecular test method of positive results detected through the rapid antigen test method in previous days. Verification using the molecular examination method is carried out by the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics.
In addition, the following laboratory tests were carried out, without the detection of a case:
- 450 samples taken as part of a passenger check at Larnaca and Paphos Airports.
