Paphos police arrested two men suspected of stealing several cars on Thursday.
Armed with a warrant, officers searched the home of a 36-year-old man in Paphos in the afternoon.
They found a number of car keys and arrested the suspect because he could not explain how they came to be in his possession.
They then searched the car of a 41-year-old man who was with the 36-year-old at the time and found various tools and was also arrested for not explaining where they came from.
A search of the car used by the 36-year-old revealed that the licence plate details of the car belonged to another vehicle of the same make which had been stolen on October 20.
A search of a second car used by the 36-year-old turned up two pairs of licence plates.
One of the plates belonged to a vehicle which had been reported stolen on November 10.
