CYPRA SLAUGHTERHOUSE - OPERATION SUSPENDED

 Filenews 19 November 2020

The suspension of its facilities is announced by the CYPRA slaughterhouse. "This decision is necessary to put things in place, while all steps are taken to ensure the conditions for the reopening of the plant, in full accordance with the provisions and laws of the state," the company says.

This is followed by the announcement:

For each business entity, its most valuable asset is its credibility. The livestock processing plant, CYPRA, in the 15 years since its establishment, has managed to establish itself as a unit with important innovations in its field, implementing international quality assurance systems ISO 9001 and food safety management ISO 22000.

With hard work, step by step, a relationship of trust has been established with partners, customers and the general public. In recent times a series of events have raised questions and uncertainty around issues related to the company's operation. On all issues there are substantiated answers to be given to the competent authorities of the State. The company will cooperate with them, making the data of the unit's work available to them in order to restore reality and, if there are responsibilities, to take them on.

In this context, CYPRA announces the suspension of its facilities for as long as necessary. What matters is that all steps are taken to ensure the conditions for the reopening of the plant, in full accordance with the provisions and laws of the state. We ask for the understanding of hundreds of customers and partners who stand by us and support us. We apologize for the inconvenience and inconvenience caused to their own work. However, this decision is necessary in order to put things in their place. Reliability and health protection are above all else. It is also stressed that during the period when the company is suspended, it consistently undertakes to cover all its financial obligations: to employees, partners and the State. Without prejudice to any legal right and trust in the relevant government agencies, the truth will be revealed.
