Many Tala residents knew the blind hound known to many as Duke. He has now been renamed Alfred. He was a very clever dog and always used to be with the every-pregnant bitch Hattie, often in the vicinity of Vrasidas Taverna. Hattie was his seeing friend. Paws are still trying to catch Hattie.
The good news is that Alfred jetted off to the UK yesterday - courtesy of a blind dog association.
