A coordinated operation to repatriate foreigners living illegally in the Republic was carried out today by the Police.
These are 169 persons, third-country nationals, who were repatriated on a flight departing from the Republic at noon on Thursday.
The operation was carried out by the Immigration and Immigration Service - YAM, Police Headquarters, in coordination with the Frontex Agency. Members of the YAM and MMAD participated in it.
Recently, a further 107 persons, nationals of the same foreign country, were also repatriated, following a coordinated operation by the Office for Foreigners and Migration, and for the next period the repatriation of third-country nationals, who are also illegally resident in the Republic, is planned for the next period.
