10 businesses were charged with covid violations over the past 24 hours, out of a total of 487 checks throughout Cyprus.
Police made clear in a statement that coordinated and targeted operations will continue in an effort to prevent the coronavirus from spreading and further maintain peoples’ sense of safety, as well as stress the need for businesses to comply with the relevant health ministry directives.
The traffic violation campaign also continues and will intensify this weekend. 150 people were charged over the past 24 hours, more than 40 for speeding and 29 for driving while intoxicated.
Two cars were confiscated.
