THREE DAY TEST FOR PAPHOS HOTELS - 70% OCCUPANCY

Filenews 6 June 2020 - by Dora Christodoulou

At a rate that will exceed 60 and possibly 70% of the fullness of the hotel units that have already operated, tourist traffic from domestic tourism in Paphos is expected to arrive during the three-day flood.
Events of the traditional holiday season may have been cancelled due to this year's emergency and also the tourism and hotel industry may still take the first steps after lockdown, but the few hotels that have already opened their doors since 1 June will have as everything shows more than satisfactory traffic today, tomorrow and Monday.
Reservations from Cypriot vacationers who want to take advantage of the holiday weekend and the first exit after the internment, show that 60-70% of the available beds today will find "owners" this three-day period. This is why, according to competent sources, that while only two hotels in Paphos have operated since the 1st of the current year, this three-day period will operate several others, wanting to take advantage of the situation.
The three-day flood is also considered a good opportunity for Paphos's catering companies to maximize their benefits after their reopening, based both on the three-day holiday for the majority of the pafitites and on the many, mutatis mutandis, excursionists from other provinces in Paphos.
