TALA CEMETERY - 5 June 2020
As residents are aware it has been possible to pre-purchase burial plots in Tala for some years. This was introduced as a step to ensure that any cemetery tax imposed was kept at the lowest level possible, and provided funds to allow the council to construct the new cemetery.
Appreciating that many wish to ensure that everything is in place to save their relatives any concerns, with immediate effect, if you wish to pre-purchase a plot in Tala cemetery, please note that you will need to submit a letter to the Council for approval.
Previously there was a special rate for 'pre-purchase'. The standard plot rate applicable at the time will apply for any pre-purchase made from now on.
