Food prices in Cyprus in 2019 were 6.5% higher than the EU27 average, but housing costs were 25.5% lower, according to a data visualisation published by Eurostat today which compares prices in a number of categories across the 27 EU member states.

- Furniture and carpets prices in Cyprus are 4.2% lower than the EU27 average.
- Personal transport equipment prices in Cyprus are 15.5% lower than the EU27 average.
- Transport services prices in Cyprus are 2.1% higher than the EU27 average.
- Communications prices in Cyprus are 10.1% lower than the EU27 average.
- Recreation and culture prices in Cyprus are 8.9% lower than the EU27 average.
- Restaurants and hotels prices in Cyprus are 5.7% lower than the EU27 average.
