The Transport Ministry is inviting tenders for traffic cameras, after a challenge regarding the terms and conditions of the contract was rejected by the tenders review board.
Tenders must be submitted by May 22.
The contract provides for the supply, installation, maintenance and operation of 90 fixed traffic cameras. These will check violations of the red light, stop signs and speed at traffic lights.

The contract also provides for 20 mobile cameras.
The contract is for five years with an option to extend for another two.
The cost for the seven years is estimated at €47.800.000.
Cyprus has been without traffic cameras for 13 years after the company awarded the contract was successfully challenged in court by a competitor.
Police have long been pressing for their re-introduction to boost efforts to curb traffic offences.
Procedures were set in motion last year, with authorities saying at the time that the new cameras would be in place some time in 2020.
