Safety and citizen protection
In the context of preventing and combating crime and consolidating the feeling of citizen safety,
organized police operations continued throughout Cyprus last night. During the operations, in the
Paphos district, as part of the traffic checks, 3 vehicles and a motorcycle were seized.
Checks were also carried out on 270 vehicles and 290 people on board, with 373 complaints of various
traffic offences. In the context of the above operations, there was pancyprian patrol cover outside
bakeries, Jewellery shops, etc., while various areas were checked and patrolled in order to prevent
break-ins and thefts.
