Following on from numerous conversations with helpline staff, the Ministry of Health and the articles in the press on 21 May, in response to my request for clarification on the situation regarding public/complex pools, I have just received the following email from the Government Press Office.
'Please be informed that
public/communal pools can only be used for sports activities at this time
(hence, the 10-people limitation applies only to that). This may change
in the coming days, but no official decision has been made on the matter as yet.'
