Health Minister issued on Wednesday a new decree under the Quarantine Law, allowing hairdressers and beauty salons to resume their operation from May 21 onwards, along with restaurants operating outdoors.
From May 23 onwards people are also allowed to go to the beach and attend religious functions at Churches and other places of worship.
According to the regulations included in the decree, people are allowed to train individually or in groups of up to 10 people in open spaces. Locker rooms and indoor gyms remain closed.
Moreover, people are allowed to gather at homes, in gatherings of up to 10 people per home including children.
Free movement and access to parks, except playgrounds, and other public places, including squares, dams, excursion areas and marinas are also allowed, provided that groups do not exceed 10 people.
Betting agencies will remain closed until May 23, while libraries, museums and archaeological sites reopen on June 1, 2020.
The decree says that hairdressers, barbershops, beauty and tattoo parlours are allowed to operate again, in line with the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health.
Restaurants, taverns, coffee shops, pizzerias, pubs, snack bars, bars, cafes, and canteens are only allowed to serve customers outdoors.
All businesses that resumed operations, as well as public services and local government authorities dealing with the public need to indicate in their offices the necessary distance of at least two meters, which people must keep while waiting in line. Inside these offices, one person per 8 square meters is allowed to be present. Other protective and hygiene measures also need to be observed.
It is mandatory for employees serving customers indoors in private companies, public services, local government authorities and in retail to wear face masks. The same is true for people working in public transport, construction sites, barbershops, hairdressers, beauty salons, tattoo parlors and restaurants.
From opening time until 10 am, pharmacies and supermarkets serve only people who belong to vulnerable groups, people over 60 and people with disabilities.
From May 23, people will be allowed to go to the beach, in line with Health Ministry guidelines.
