Positive coronavirus cases have been found at a Polis Chrysochous supermarket and at Nicosia General Hospital, the Health Ministry said on Sunday.
Under a recent decree the names of businesses and departments in the public/wider public sector/ independent services and local authorities with positive coronavirus cases are made public in the interest of public health.
Based on the above, the Health Ministry said that cases have been found in samples tested on May 2 at:
— Papantoniou Supermarket Polis Chrysochous
The supermarket remains closed under the decree which prohibits the operation of retail food and drink companies on a Sunday.
Management has been notified and measures have been taken so that the person who tested positive and close contacts have been moved.
The premises have been disinfected and permission given to reopen on Monday.
– Nicosia General Hospital
The state health organisation (Okypi) have been notified and the individuals who tested positive and close contacts have been moved.
The area has been disinfected, the ministry added.
