AS LOCKDOWN ENDS . . . MOTs, MEDICAL CARDS AND ROAD TRANSPORT DEPT

As lockdown comes to an end and there is some lifting of restrictions, if you deferred an MOT or renewal of your Cyprus medical card, could you please take steps to resolve these within a reasonable period of time.

It is not known how long the authorities will be patient, particularly regarding MOTs, so to avoid problems and possible fines, please try and organise the MOT by the end of May if at all possible.

Regarding medical cards, these can be renewed at the Citizens Advice Centres but for the time being they are continuing to insist that appointments are made - as they need to ensure that social distancing is maintained.

Regarding sale of vehicles, the completed form [with the original registration paper attached] can be left in a box outside the Road Transport Department off Mesoghi Road.   There are four boxes there and they say that any box can be used.   If you need to speak to a human being at the Road Transport Department, you will either have to shout through an open window, or go round the side of the building, where you can slightly open the door and they will give you instruction from there.
