Over the last few days there have been several reports of thefts from vehicles, two in Kamares and one in Stephanie.
The cars are possibly being left unlocked as there does not appear to be any damage, and most owners probably would be unaware that anyone had been inside their vehicle for quite some time. In one case the owner noticed that the car mats were out of position and in another the ashtray was open.
The thief or thieves appear to be grabbing the document wallet containing log books, etc, from the glove compartment, which they then discard further down the road.
If you hear or see anything suspicious please ring the police.
Please do not leave anything visible in the car, nor
anything of value. I am assuming that the thief or thieves are looking
for cash.
