Scores of people in quarantine have already left the Forest Park Hotel in good health and more will follow in the next few days, the hotel said in a post on its Facebook page.
The Forest Park is one of about a dozen hotels being used by the government as quarantine facilities for about 1100 Cypriots and permanent residents who have allowed to return to Cyprus as part of a lockdown to contain the spread of coronavirus.
All those returning must do 14 days in quarantine.
The Forest Park said 33 had left on Monday, 22 on Tuesday, 24 are expected to depart today and 32 on April 2.
“The departure was well organized by the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Transport in cooperation with the hotel. The happy feelings from the departed persons were obvious and their comments touching,” it said.
The hotel wished everyone to continue their life in good health and that the coronavirus outbreak will be soon over.
“Needless to say that we have experienced fear, anxiousness and pain between people and we hope that we have helped at a certain extend to get over this period the best possible way. Great thanks to the Ministry of Health, Mr Louis Panagi, Mrs Irini, Mr Christos Tziortzis that have assisted us to the maximum possible. Many thanks also to our Security Mr Pambos and to all our active staff that stood next to us in this difficult period.” it concluded.
