Health Minister Constantinos Ioannou has informed private hospitals that he will tomorrow renew a decree that requires them to postpone scheduled surgeries and appointments.
This is intended to free up space so that the private sector can process cold cases from the public sector as it deals with the coronavirus outbreak.
The decree expired tomorrow and it will be renewed.
Private hospitals are urged not to schedule surgeries and admit patients, the Health Ministry said.
