The Chinese Embassy in Nicosia has donated 5,000 face masks to the Paphos Municipality, philenews reports.
The Embassy maintains a close relationship with the Paphos municipality in recent years, it was reported.
The masks are already being put into use as they are disseminated to citizens turning up for swabs-taking for Covid-19 tests since Saturday outside the former District Officer’s Residence in Paphos. The city is considered a hotspot for Covid-19 together with Aradippou.
Some of the masks will also cover needs of the Paphos hospital and any other needs that may emerge.
