Police booked 48 drivers and pedestrians for breaking the curfew and stay at home decree overnight, a drop on previous days.
From 6 pm on Monday to 6 am on Tuesday, police carried out 4212 checks on pedestrians and drivers.
Nicosia: 1260 checks, 14 booked
Limassol: 762 checks, 9 booked
Larnaca: 433 checks, 7 booked
Paphos: 761 checks, 16 booked.
Famagusta: 234 checks, 1 booked
Morphou: 176 checks, none booked
Police HQ traffic unit: 242 checks, one booked
MMAD: 51 checks, none booked
Police also carried out checks on 768 premises. None were booked.
