THE UGLY SIDE OF LIMASSOL'S CARNIVAL

in-cyprus 2 March 2020 -Edited by

After a night of carnival festivities, Limassol revellers have left behind them mounds of rubbish and broken chairs and tables on Saripolou Street, to the dismay of restaurant owners who are uncertain whether they will be able to reopen as normal tomorrow philenews reports.
It said that restaurant owners are also upset with Limassol Municipality who they say failed to protect their properties.

Bars operated as normal last night, but restaurants were closed. However, carnival revellers used the tables and chairs during their night long party, showing little respect either for the property or for the environment, leaving mounds of debris behind.
Restaurant owners are fretting not over the damage, but also whether they will be able to reopen on Tuesday, philenews added.
