POST OFFICE SAYS PARCELS TO BE DELIVERED AS FROM TUESDAY

The Postal Services have announced that every effort will be made from Tuesday, March 31, to deliver as many parcels as possible to people’s homes so that members of the public do not need to go to the post office to pick them up.

The measure aims to bolster efforts to ensure people stay at home.

• Distribution will be between 8 am and 1 pm, Monday to Friday
• The parcels will be placed in the mail box if possible, otherwise next to it in as safe a place as possible
• Parcels will not be delivered to apartment blocks where there are no suitable, accessible mail boxes

The Postal Services urged the public to check outside regularly so as to take delivery of their parcel safely.

“A titanic effort is underway for all the people in Cyprus to contain the spread of coronavirus and we as the Cyprus Postal Services are contributing to this effort,” they said.

Re Tala, as the ladies are on motorcycles, they may be unable to carry larger parcels safely.
