Please note that as a result of the lockdown due to Coronavirus, work has been stopped on the slipping building demolition and also phase II of the Square.
As the workers are not working in a confined enclosed space, efforts are being made to try and get the stoppage reversed but it is thought that permission is unlikely to be granted. Tala Council are working with the District Office to try and exert pressure on the Government as it is appreciated that a lot of residents are inconvenienced due to the road closure.
