The Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Health announced on Saturday that Cypriot citizens stranded abroad who need to obtain necessary medicine that is impossible to secure locally in their respective countries can submit a claim via email to comunit@mfa.gov.cy or by telephone on (+357) 22 801000.
In such cases, that are subject to evidenced practical difficulties, Cypriot authorities will ship the medicine from Cyprus where circumstances allow.
It is mentioned that citizens in the United Kingdom have the right to obtain required medication from the NHS on the basis of a bi-lateral agreement in force.
