Discover Humanity, a global photography and filmmaking project that aims to promote diversity through travel, released last night an episode on Cyprus.
The video features beautiful imagery that is characteristic of the island, including traditional delicacies like loukoumades, halloumi and koupepia, crafts like lacemaking and pottery, even some of the country’s frisky felines.
Other notable references are Cyprus’ wine-making culture, as well as ‘kafene’ (coffee shop) culture with a group of gentlemen shown playing the traditional coffee-shop games of backgammon (tavli) and pilotta.
