'We had a break in to our house in November last year. We talked to one of our neighbours who has found empty beer bottles in her garden - same make several times. So my interpretation is that somebody is sitting spying when it is dark to see how people come and go.'
It is suggested that if people find drink bottles or cans which are suspicious (i.e. not left by workers or children) on their property the bottles or cans should be untouched and put in a plastic bag as they may be useful and have DNA on them which might be in the police database. The bottles or cans should then be taken to the council office, marked for the attention of Cathi Delaney who will liaise with the police. Please include your name, address, phone number and where the bottles or cans were found.
Should you be unfortunate to be burgled and you hear from your neighbours about the presence of bottles or cans please advise the police.
