Discover Humanity, a global photography and filmmaking project that aims to promote diversity through travel, has released a promo video for its upcoming Cyprus episode.
Manos, a civil engineer from Thimena, a small island of only 80 inhabitants in Greece’s eastern Aegean, and Denéa, an Australian entrepreneur and social media consultant are the brainpower behind this project that wants to give people “the chance to take a real look at life around the world and listen to the words of other people.”
The duo, who met during a project for an NGO they both took part in, have quit their jobs and the comforts of their modern lives to establish “Humanity”, a non-profit media project creating “a global mosaic short films and photography”.
Trough Humanity, they want to broaden people’s worldview and break down prejudice through unbiased media.
While the project first started with the two of them, it has grown to include partners and volunteers from over 10 countries, including Puerto Rico, Cuba, Serbia, and Bulgaria.
Watch the trailer for the Cyprus episode below. For more Humanity, you can find them on their Facebook page or follow them on Instagram.

The story photo is from Manos and Denéa’s trip to Lebanon in July 2019 as part of the project.
