A 33 year old man arrested in relation to the theft of a wooden box with a Swedish teen’s ashes inside has confessed to the crime, philenews reports.
The man has reportedly also sent a text message to the teen’s mother apologising for his actions.
The suspect will appear before the Limassol District Court today to be remanded in custody.
A 35 year old woman, a friend to the 33 year old, and a 44 year old man have already been remanded in 4-day custody for the same case. The latter appears to have assisted the other two after the break-in.
The teen’s parents arrive in Cyprus today to collect the retrieved ashes and fulfil their son’s wishes to be scattered in the Limassol sea.
