As works for Tala Square phase 2 progress, please note that access to Tala Council office remains difficult for those who are not able-bodied. Payment of water, rates and local immovable property tax can be made on JCC Smart. If you have not used JCC Smart before to settle your Tala Council bills, if you go onto the site and click on Other organisations, please scroll down to K and you will find Talas Community Council [it is under K for Koinotiko, Greek for Council].
The road in front of the Council office is dug up, as is the narrow road leading from Thimoulla's coffee shop to the Post Office, and the contractors are in the process of digging up the road in front of the new Church.
Car parking is available underneath the new church [allowing access from the staircase at the far end of the carpark to the road leading down to the school] for those wishing to go to the Square. The roads and parking at the other side of the square [where Marios and Melitzia are] are unaffected by the road works.
