The Pancyprian Federation of Labour (PEO) in collaboration with the University of Cyprus (UCY) within the framework of the implementation of the project “Greek Language Courses for adults” offers free lessons of the Greek language.
Four levels of teaching will be provided (A1, A2, A2+, B1).
Target groups include:
(a) holders of asylum/subsidiary protection status;
(b) persons who have applied for asylum/subsidiary protection status;
(c) persons under temporary protection;
(d) persons legally living and working in Cyprus;
A total of 470 people will participate all over Cyprus (urban and rural areas). Courses will be also offered at the Kofinou Reception and Accommodation Centre for Applicants for International Protection.
The agreement between INEK – PEO and the University of Cyprus, and the European Funds Unit of the Ministry of Interior, respectively, was signed on the of February 11, 2019. The project will be completed on July 31, 2020.
