As part of the ongoing efforts by the Police to prevent and reduce traffic accidents and to consolidate road awareness, from Monday, September 9, 2019 until September 22, 2019, they will operate a campaign to control free-wheel-drive motor vehicles. (use of mobile phone or other object while driving).
At the international level, distraction is one of the most important factors contributing to the increased likelihood of being involved in a road traffic collision, given that the response time in an emergency is dramatically reduced.
Driving using a mobile phone also plays a key role, and especially trying to write a text message helps drivers to focus on the screen rather than the road.
