GESY – EHIC CARD
Unfortunately, it would appear that the helpline inadvertently
provided the incorrect information regarding the EHIC. There had been a report that an applicant from
an expat couple was rejected and clarification has today been provided by the Ministry of Health.
With apologies from the Ministry of Health, for the time being
applications for EHICs by UK expats should continue to be directed to the UK –

At the current time it is not known how Brexit will
affect EHIC cards and their validity and issue.
