Police inform the public that it has been observed that several malicious e-mails have recently been sent to various
e-mail holders reported to have been sent by a particular Cypriot internet and email service provider.
Specifically, e-mail users of this company receive e-mails that are reported to have been sent by the company itself
and are informed that e-mail has been accessed from overseas in the morning. Through the message, recipients are
invited as if they did not have this access to themselves, to change their email security code, via the link provided in
the suspicious message.
These messages in their entirety are delusional and malicious. The public is urged to be particularly cautious when
receiving such messages and in no way respond to the sender or follow the link . In addition, they must
change their password through their provider's official website and use the latest malware protection and the
latest updates to their computer's operating system.
The Cybercrime Bureau is available to the public and / or companies to report a complaint and the public is invited
to visit the Police Web site www.police.gov.cy for reporting via the online cybercrime reporting platform
