URGENT MESSAGE FOR THOSE DRIVING INTO OR OUT OF KAMARES



Please note that the road in front of the slipping building will close tomorrow morning until further notice.  This is for the safety and well being of residents and those using the road.   Closing the road is a necessary precaution until the District Office can finalise their plans for the site.

There will be diversion signs in place.

Please remember that the roads being used for the diversion can be narrow in places and care should be exercised when using them.

Options for leaving Kamares:

Route 1
Heading down the hill from the Club, just before the telephone box, TURN LEFT.
HALT at the STOP sign at the junction onto Mary Leptos Street.
TURN RIGHT. Proceed 650m to a further junction, opposite there is a villa called 'GLENIAIN'
TURN LEFT and follow the road down a hill to another T junction.
TURN LEFT and follow the road around a steep u bend, heading past Vrasides Taverna and up to the small car - park in Tala.
Proceed across this five point junction towards Tala square, follow the road down past Marios, follow the road, a left bend 400m to the main Miltiadi Stylianou Avenue.

Route 2
Heading down the hill from the Club, TURN LEFT just before the phone box.
STOP at the halt sign at the junction onto Mary Leptos Street.
TURN LEFT. Proceed down the hill, past the' KHANS' and climb the hill to where there is a phone box on the right.
TURN RIGHT at this junction and proceed down the hill to a very steep bend, continue to the bottom of this steep hill.
STOP then TURN LEFT and you will come out at the small Tala car -park. Follow the same directions as above to exit Tala square'

Route 3
A longer way around but should be quieter. Follow the signs leading out of Kamares Village to Koili.(Kili). Turn right at the small Cemetery and follow the road to the main Polis - Paphos road junction. (Do not turn left into Koili (Kili) Village)
TURN RIGHT onto the Polis road and head down into Paphos.


To get into Kamares, any of the routes above can be reversed.
