Water supply to the municipalities and communities in the peripheral area of Paphos was fully restored and has continued uninterrupted from 4.30am Sunday, the Water Development Department (WDD) announced
The announcement noted that “the intense rainfall of the three-day period from 14 to 16 January caused serious problems in the water supply sources of the WDD, resulting in the Asprokremmos refinery being shut down”.
According to the WDD, “the large flows in the rivers that are still going on made it extremely difficult to repair the main pipelines”.
