The following are the roads where funding has been requested for resurfacing works in 2019 and 2020. There is no guarantee that the necessary funding will be forthcoming. For 2019 our funding has been reduced by the Government by €15,000 and we have no idea what budget they are likely to give us for 2020.
2019:
- Chrysostomou Papadaniel [part II] from Vrasidas tavern back towards the village centre
- Rododaphnis - From the betting shop across to Stephanie/Eleftherias Avenue
- Rebecca Demetriou - From the round about towards Monastery the third turn on the right [by the water tank].
- Agiou Ermolaou - Lofos - the first turn on the right just after the ‘Eiffel Tower’.
It is also hoped that the District Office will resurface the road from the Monastery down to the Roundabout, and from the Roundabout to the Tala/ Emba boundary in 2019. This road is separate to the application Tala Council has submitted as it falls under the responsibility of the District Office and not Tala Council.
We are also trying to obtain funding for resurfacing Margaritas and Amarylis.
2020:
1 Agia Ekaterinis from the square up to Verginas
2 Mary Leptos Street up to the Gardenias junction
3 Erodotou Christodoulou
4 Karmiou and Eleatou [rescheduled for 2020 from 2019 in view of budgets/need]
5 Louca Konstantinide [from Agia Saranta down to the ravine including the dirt road part]
