Please note that there is a backlog in Immigration and documents can take up to 6 months to produce [at the time of writing!]. Immigration have promised to address this issue, but please be patient if waiting for your documents.
A couple of things have, however, come to light:
1 If you are just about to go through the process, please put your residential address not your post box address on the application [see below for reason!].
2 If the MEU1 or MEU3 has been sent to you, and not received, there could be a number of reasons for this:
a] If the form has gone to your postbox, it appears that the Post Office return this to Immigration if it has not been collected within a month
b] There have been instances where Immigration have used a previous address instead of the one shown on the application [presumably the system picking up the address from the MEU1 instead of checking the address on the MEU3 application].
c] The form has been lost in the post.
If you have not received your MEU1 or MEU3, please first call into Paphos Immigration with your receipt. They may or may not be helpful - they may just tell you to ring Nicosia [but not give you the number] or you may fall lucky and they will actually try to help you!
You can ring Nicosia - 22804585 or 22403922 but I cannot guarantee that the phone will be picked up.
If the MEU1/MEU3 has been posted to you and has clearly been lost in the post [or gone to a postbox address and been returned to Immigration, or been sent to a previous address], please contact me on: toffee@primehome.com I have a copy of a form which needs to be completed. You will then have to visit the court building, sign the form in front of a registrar, pay [I am afraid I don't know how much] for some legal stamps, then the court will either return the form to Immigration on your behalf or they will hand it back to you to take to Paphos Immigration Department.
