Starting on Monday, police will launch their seventh road safety campaign of the year; checking for the use of seatbelts and child seats.
The campaign aims at increasing awareness of drivers and passengers about the use of seatbelts and special car seats for children, in an effort to reduce the number of serious and fatal injuries sustained in car crashes.
Of the 18 drivers and passengers in cars killed in traffic accident in 2017 only six of them were wearing their seatbelts, the police said.
