KAMARES CLUB- BOOK AND DVD LIBRARY
Most of you know of the library in the club, available to all residents, but there are newcomers to our community who are not yet aware of this
wonderful facility. The library has a
huge selection of adult books which consists of novels in all genres and many Autobiographies.
To keep the content fresh, the library operates as a book swap. i.e. bring a book and swap
with one from the library. If you do not
have a book to swap there is a small charge of €1 to get
you started.
In addition to the wonderful selection of books there is also a vast collection of DVD’s which cover all tastes. Many TV series, from Downton Abbey to Game of Thrones plus all the latest 2014
films, classic films and even history of world wars. Most of the films are rented for €1 which you
can be kept for one week.
It is a non-profit library and uses any monies to
purchase new items and keep the content up to date. There is also a contribution to charitable causes when
funds allow.
The Library is open on Wednesday afternoons at the Kamares Club from
2pm – 5pm
In the 14 years since it started the library has never
closed unless it was Christmas Day or New Years Day. This is quite an achievement and credit must
be given to the unfailing volunteers who give up their time each week to work
in the library for the benefit of the community.
