Usurum's music consists of their love for singing, poetry, polyphony, synths, tweaked beats, folk guitars and the cityscape. They seek the musical space between tradition and pop culture, exploring the limits of song form and Greek lyrics. Themes such as love, death, emotional self-immersion and the imprint of contemporary urban life are often present in their songs. Poetic speech, dance electronic music, direct lyrics and quiet sound environments alternate and coexist both in their recordings and live performances. The sound universe of Usurum includes hybrid acoustic and electronic percussion, instruments – games, analogue synthesizers and polyphonic singing.

Usurum was formed in 2008 by four students of the Music School of Alimos and are based in Athens. Since then, they have released five personal albums (Usurum – 2013, The Law of Temptation – 2017, Not and Not – 2018, Elevator – 2021, Eyes Cameras – 2024). They have appeared in many music stages and festivals throughout Greece (Gagarin, Fuzz, Gazarte, Six Dogs, Technopolis City of Athens, WE, Block33, Ziria Festival, Picnic Urban Festival etc.) and have collaborated with artists such as Fivos Delivorias, Martha Frintzila, Panú Manú, Imiterasu and others.

The artist who has occupied us like no other lately, flooding the Greek (and not only) internet, comes on 17/07 to the Rialto World Music Festival at SEK Parking.
